2009 - BLVD is born! The year in review...

BLVD's first year of business is in the history books now! In some ways it went so fast, in other ways it's hard to believe we've only been around for a year...

I'd like to personally thank everyone that's supported us. Its not easy being the "new guy" sometimes, but all of you made it a lot of fun!

When I opened the doors a year ago, I had one goal in mind. That was to stay true to skateboarding every way we can and do what we do with pride.  I think we've achieved that and will continue to into the future.  BLVD is a genuine skateshop owned and operated by genuine skateboarders. There is no other way.  Thanks for 2009, see you all in 2010!!

Haul the Decks a success!

As many of you remember, before X Mas we held a used skateboard drive. We're stoked to say it was a big success! We managed to build 19 completes for Foster Kids. Read more here..

Meet the Team #12 - Adam Cassidy

Call it favoritism, but Adam Cassidy was one of my first choices when it came time to pick a team.  We've been friends for a long time now and his skating seems to keep getting better.  From the days of living under the vert ramp at the Clubhouse to being the self proclaimed Mayor of the Strath park, Adam is a solid guy and a talented skater. Beyond his love of skateboarding, he can also be found listening to rad old psych rock records and working on his own clothing label called...

Tis' the Season, so everyone Shred the word about this

It occurred to me a while back (as I once again moved my pile of old decks and wheels) - that I should give them to somebody that needs them. I know I'm not the only one who packrats this stuff either...

So this year I hooked up with the BC Foster Parenting Association and offered to do my best to donate a pile of good used boards to them. From my experience over the last 25 yrs, skateboarding is an awesome way to help youth at risk. So I couldn't be more stoked to help them out this Holiday Season.

So please grab that old skate gear out of the crawl space and drop it off to BLVD Skateshop between Dec.07 -14th. No junk please, these kids deserve good stuff. On our end, we'll do our best to clean 'em up. We'll sand them, re-grip them, paint them etc. Whatever it takes to make sure that they're hyped when they get them!

In return of your gracious donation, we'd like to offer you a limited BLVD VIP Discount Card. Good for Life!

No shortage of love from these guys and for these guys at Push.ca. Make sure you take some time from Facebook and add them to your list of daily sites to visit. A constant stream of vids, stories and news about the Canadian skateboard scene (snow too). Keep up the good work Push bro's!!
